How to Use the Converter

This tool is very simple to use. You can either type or copy and paste any Japanese sentence or text containing Kanji into the text area above.

Alternatively, you can now **extract Kanji directly from an image** using the buttons at the top. You can either **select an image from your device** or **use your camera to take a photo** of the text. The tool will then perform OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to convert the Kanji in the image into editable text.

If you input a single Kanji character, it will convert it into its possible Hiragana, Katakana, and Onyomi / Kunyomi readings.

If you input a complete sentence or paragraph, the tool may take a little more time to process, especially for long texts. However, it will display the results in real time as it processes, so you can scroll below and watch the meanings and readings appear progressively.

You can easily copy the full converted sentence reading or individual word readings from the result section.
